Pack your tent, a nice bottle of wine and some delicious food into your kayak and go off on an adventure to explore the Isle of Skye, one of the best kayaking destinations in Scotland. We will journey along the coast, camp on remote beaches and enjoy the evening sun, have a good night’s sleep and then continue to explore the coast. Does this sound like the kind of thing you would like to do? Come and join us!
In 2026 we are offering tailormade camping expeditions to groups of 3 or more. Please get in touch with your preferred date, your sea kayaking experience and group size and we will happily make you an offer.
The above scenario is the ideal, but we all know that the weather, especially on the west coast of Scotland, is not always ideal. A good sense of adventure and an open mind are essential for any expedition in this part of the world. For the best chance of sunshine and calm waters, go in May or June.
Paddle Skye 3-5 Days
If you can’t get a group together, why not join us on our Paddle Skye multi day course, where we explore the 5 best locations around Skye but come back to a cosy bed and fresh dry kit in the morning. Accommodation is available.
What’s included in the Expedition Price?
We provide all kayaking and camping equipment, kayak, paddle, buoyancy aid, paddle jacket, wetsuit, spraydeck and wetsuit boots, tent, camping mat, stove, pot set, dry bags.
You will normally bring your own sleeping bag but some may be available to hire.
You will normally bring your own food (we encourage fresh food rather than packaged camping meals, just because we can), and we can help you with some suggestions.
The weather
Of course we can never guarantee a sunny camp with glistening calm seas. We will try our best to find a location that allows us to go ahead with the expedition. You’ll have to be ready for an adventure! If all fails, we will take you on day trips with options of camping at the base or somewhere close by.
